Das EFX is an American hip hop duo. It consists of emcees Dray
(also known as Krazy Drayz, born Andre Weston, September 9, 1970) and Skoob (also known as Books, born William
"Willie" Hines, November 27, 1970). They named themselves "DAS" standing for "Dray and
Skoob" and "EFX" meaning "effects". They rose to popularity in the early 1990s due to their
affiliation with EPMD's Hit Squad and the duo's stream of consciousness lyrical delivery, which became one of the most
influential lyrical styles in hip hop music at the time.[1] Their style combined nonsensical lines with a fast-paced
flow (that included words that end with "-iggedy") and numerous pop culture references.

Def Squad

Def Squad is a rap supergroup consisting of Erick Sermon, Redman & Keith Murray.
Jamal is considered an honorary member of the Def Squad. Before officially forming as a group to release an album in
1998, they had each been featured on tracks by each other. The Def Squad was formed following the disbandment of the Hit
Squad, who broke up after the struggles between EPMD members Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith.

They are known
for their remake of "Rapper's Delight" by Sugarhill Gang.

The Squad continued to record on each
other's solo albums.

EPMD

EPMD is an American
hip hop group from Brentwood, New York. The group's name is a concatenation of the members' names "E" and
"PMD" or an acronym for "Erick and Parrish Making Dollars", referencing its members, emcees Erick
Sermon ("E" aka E Double) and Parrish Smith ("PMD" aka Parrish Mic Doc). During an interview on
college radio station WHOV in 1987, Parrish Smith stated that the name evolved from the original: "We were
originally known as "EEPMD" (Easy Erick and Parrish the Microphone Doctor), but chose to go with EPMD because
it was easier to say." He also stated that they dropped the two "E's" because N.W.A.'s Eric Wright was
already using "Eazy-E" as his stage name. The group has been active for 30 years (minus two breakups in 1993
and 1999), and is one of the most prominent acts in east coast hip hop. Diamond J and DJ K La Boss were DJs for the
group and their current DJ is DJ Scratch[1]

The word "business" is used in every title of the
group's albums. Every album also has a track with "Jane" in the title.

is an American rapper, musician, and record producer. Sermon is best known as one-third, alongside PMD & DJ Scratch,
of late-1980s–1990s hip hop group EPMD and for production work.[3]

Hit Squad

The Hit Squad
was a 1990s hip hop collective of East coast hip hop artists formed by Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith better known as
EPMD. The collective separated when EPMD broke up for the first time in 1993, later reforming as Def Squad. The
collective later reintroduced itself in 2006 as "Hit squad" with a sub division of new up and coming artists
titled "Team Takeover" featuring artists such as Nymrod, Comatose, Nam Nitty, and the recent youngest member
Michael Nixx. Members, EPMD, DJ Scratch, Redman, Das EFX, K-Solo-Keith Murray and Knucklehedz.

K-Solo (born Kevin Madison on April 17, 1968) is an American rapper from Central Islip, New
York who, along with Redman, EPMD, Das EFX, and Keith Murray, was part of the Hit Squad in the 1990s.



PMD

Parrish J. Smith (born May 13, 1968), better known as PMD (Parrish Mic Doc), is an east coast
rapper from Smithtown, Long Island and one-third of EPMD.

PMD, who attended Brentwood High School,[1]
currently resides in Bay Shore, New York. He is a member of the rap group EPMD with Erick Sermon and DJ Scratch. He has
released three solo albums, 1994's Shade Business, 1996's Business Is Business and 2003's The Awakening. Also, in 2002,
he released an album with Japanese hip hop luminary DJ Honda titled Underground Connection. Recently, he has been on
tour throughout the US and Europe.

Reginald "Reggie" Noble (born April 17, 1970), better known by his stage name Redman, is an American rapper,
DJ, record producer, and actor. He rose to fame in the early 1990s as an artist on the Def Jam label. He is also well
known for his collaborations with Method Man, as one-half of the rap duo Method Man & Redman,[1] including their
starring roles in films and sitcoms. He was also a member of the Def Squad in the late 1990s.
